there's a story behind everything

My name is Esther and I’m a creative director in the ladies apparel industry, driven by my passion for the creative  process and surpassing expected results.  My success in design comes from a combination of;  a discerning eye, listening + seeking to understand, a love for creative story-telling, seeing the  BIG picture, structure with space to explore + soar, lots of data, a love for team building,  and the desire to do great things!  

I come from a multicultural home with my mom, who was born in Kingston, Jamaica and my dad who is of Italian and French-Canadian descent. My family and my background have shaped me in so many ways. I design from emotion, with a special connection to colour. I believe there is a story behind everything. Attached to everything I do, there is likely a story to tell. I’ve always embraced an open mind and seeing beyond the surface. Uncovering deeper meanings, true intentions, raw and natural beauty, the uniqueness of individuality and bringing us all together is woven into everything I do in my life and my design work.

My work experience within the industry has been enriched by being immersed in various environments, including large corporate office settings, for small businesses and start-ups, and as a sole-proprietor having started my own ladies loungewear brand called V.O.SHE (Versions Of She). I've also worked as an independent design contractor and consultant offering other businesses full creative services in Design, Development, Production and Pos-Production Marketing for Ladies Apparel and Textile Graphic Design. 

My loungewear collections are truly inspired by a desire to make women feel confident and comfortable and also to transform and elevate the way they see themselves.

One particular Ladies Loungewear and Sleepwear brand was one of the most recent passions in my design career, where I spearheaded the development and expansion of the Ladies Loungewear brand. Working with a team of dedicated women, we were united in our vision to build a cross-functional, sophisticated and effortless Ladies Loungewear brand that would invoke a natural grace and soothing sense of calm.

Having designed for several North American brands as well as having led my own Ladies Luxury Loungewear brand, one that gained International recognition from WGSN, British Vogue, and appeared in a popular Super Bowl 2020 commercial, my experience in this sector of the market will continue to be my greatest contribution to the wonderful world of Creative Design.
